Our number one goal is to help our clients and dogs live their best lives together. No matter their age, breed, or size -- from chihuahuas to Great Danes. Living with an out-of-control dog isn’t fun for anyone. Getting pulled around by your dog on leash, zero recall, reactivity, the list goes on. But we’re here to help!
Here at Upland Pine K9 we recognize every dog and owner is different, so we tailor your dog’s training to get the best results! We use a variety of training tools and methods including (but not limited to) positive reinforcement, play, slip leads, prong collars, and remote collars.
We believe no dog is “bad”, they just don’t know what’s expected. UPK9 Training will help you not just set expectations, but also teach you how how to build you and your dog’s confidence and relationship. Meet Your Trainer!
​
Joy has been professionally training dogs since 2021. She has roots in the PNW and grew up working with horses. She discovered her passion for dog training after seeing how much training improved her AND her dog’s life! Joy believes having a dog shouldn’t be stressful and he is passionate about helping others achieve the same results!
Joy has 3 dogs: Dax, Clyde, and Pretzel. In her free time she likes to go out with her dogs, foster dogs, and collect houseplants!

Phone Consultation
1 60-minute session

This is where our journey starts!
During our 1-hour phone consultation we’ll discuss your dog, current problems, solutions, and goals. You'll leave the call with a better understanding of your dog and training tips to get you on track.
To book, just fill out our Pre-Consult Questionnaire so we can get the most out of our time, then schedule your in-person consult!

In-Person Meet & Greet
1 60-minute session

Consults will be done over the phone initially to discuss basics, then dig deeper at an in-person Meet & Greet. These are mandatory prior to booking a training package so we can really get familiar with you and your dog.

Private Lessons
​​
We'll work one on one building your dog's obedience, eliminating problem behaviors, and educating you along the way. You’ll get homework after each lesson and always have us for support in between!

Basic Obedience Lesson Package
(4) 60-minute sessions

Your dog will learn the following commands:

Basic Obedience + Ecollar Lesson Package
(4) 75-minute sessions followed by
(4) 60-minute sessions

You’ll go through the same Basic Obedience lessons, with the remote collar, so you can advance to off leash obedience! You and your trainer will decide what to focus on for the last 4 sessions. This may be:

Achieving off leash reliability

Working around distractions and/or triggers

Going on a field trip to a store or pet friendly restaurant

Learning a new command such as distance commands, touch, through, and more!
